The opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist who is passionate about helping great beverage products reach consumers in the right way. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to balance compliance, innovation and commercial outcomes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, supporting and enabling local innovation and the successful launch of products that are in line with ANZ regulations.
What you'll do
- Lead and execute regulatory strategies for new product development
- Provide scientific and regulatory guidance on product claims, ingredients and labelling
- Review and approve packaging, marketing materials and claims
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide subject matter expertise and guidance
- Manage submissions, registrations and notifications with relevant regulatory authorities
- Monitor emerging regulatory trends and assess business impact
- Develop and maintain regulatory documentation, SOPs, and compliance processes
- Engage with industry groups influence regulators for the future and to ensure the business has a seat at the table when it comes to policy and regulatory changes
What you'll bring
You are a highly analytical and commercially minded regulatory professional who combines scientific expertise with curiosity, agility & strong attention to detail. You don’t just apply regulations, you seek to understand the intent behind them and can translate complex requirements into practical business solutions that bring high-quality & innovation FMCG products to market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Dietician or related discipline
- A strong track record of success in a Scientific & Regulatory Affairs within FMCG, beverage, food, or health-related industries
- A clear and confident communicator who can influence stakeholders across different functions, helping teams to understand not only what needs to be done, but why it matters
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Australia, NZ and key global markets
- Proven experience in claims substantiation, labelling compliance and regulatory strategy
