Senior Brand Manager

Requisition ID:  8784

ABOUT YOU

As our Senior Brand Manager we are looking for someone who enjoys driving for results and is committed to personal growth. We need someone who can hit the ground running. It’s ok to have development areas – we can help with that - but we need you to have brand management super strengths too, especially 1) stakeholder management and 2) commercial acumen. We want you to join and continue to build our high performing Ribena team, to inspire the wider business and continue to tell the story of Ribena!

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

You will be leading the Ribena Core Brand Expansion and Execution team in bringing the ‘in year’ plans to life. As the team lead you will have overall responsibility for the annual brand plan for Ribena, working closely with the Core Brand Innovation and Strategy team to bring the long-term strategic direction of the brand to life and to deliver the commercial goals. This remit will include the Integrated Business Planning process, including performance review, P&L management and working with our sales team to unlock commercial opportunities; price, promotion and channel strategies; brand activation across all touchpoints including TV and shopper; launch of new products to market; and perhaps most importantly, internal engagement & creating a sense of clarity and momentum in the brand.

WHATS IN IT FOR YOU

This is a brilliant opportunity to work on one of the nation’s most loved brands. When you say that you work for Ribena, people’s faces light up. This £120m brand holds a true place in British culture – with a history as a vitamin C supplement provided for free during WWII to the family-friendly treat we know and love today, still produced with 100% British blackcurrants grown on 34 farms, who have worked with us for generations and now work closely with us to protect the biodiversity and future of our countryside.

WHAT I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Brand management experience – you are either already a Senior Brand Manager or a highly experienced Brand Manager, looking for a role which will offer significant commercial leadership opportunities alongside people management and wider team leadership.
  • Commercial acumen – there are 3 parts to the Ribena portfolio. 1) squash, 2) childrens formats (tetra) and 3) young adults (500ml) The successful candidate needs to be able to get under the skin of each part of the portfolio to understand exactly what’s driving / draining growth.  They need to bring clear, empirical evidence to key meetings and to be able to challenge when they see numbers presented which don’t align to their experience.
  • Positive attitude – Ribena is a much-loved iconic British brand. When you tell people you work for Ribena they often have a big smile in response. That said, there are lots of challenges to overcome and we have BIG growth aspirations.  The successful candidate will not only have strong commercial acumen but will also have high standards for themselves and others and will be able to lead with a positive can-do attitude, even when things are challenging.
