Procurement Director Regional IT, Performance & Transformation

Job Summary

In this role, you will lead the Regional SBFE IT, Performance & Transformation Procurement team to actively participate in the transformation of Suntory Procurement into a value-added business partner at local, regional and global level. You will maximize value delivered to all SBFE Markets through successful management of Suppliers relationships to support SBFE growth, in line with business objectives. The spend of the category is approx 50 million across 500 suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

Accountability 1: Be a pro-active member of the SBFE Procurement Leadership Team, and Global SBFI Procurement:      

  • Building & Promoting Procurement Vision & Mission within SBFE, in the cadre of the SBFI Procurement Policy and functional transformation,
  • Develop Procurement team towards functional excellence and delivery of competitive advantage.
  • Actively participate in Global SBFI framework, and support continuous improvement of procurement processes & tools, 4. Proactively participate in sustainable initiatives in line with SBFI targets.

Accountability 2:  Empower IT, Performance & Transformation team to develop individuals & drive performance of the full procurement team towards the next level.

Participate in Procurement Learning Academy. Monitor delivery of OneSong Sheet metrics for own Category. Support and deliver Regional and Global SBFI Procurement targets. Deliver Stakeholders Satisfaction measurement through NetPromoter score. Develop the tools & competencies required to add value to the function.

Accountability 3: Define & develop appropriate Procurement Strategy for own categories with stakeholders buy-in & full engagement.

  • Drive & ensure sound implementation by the team to secure business growth, in alignment with Regional & Market’s strategies supported by 6-Steps Procurement process.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives & Fuel for Growth initiatives in line with Market’s strategies & business needs. 
  • When relevant, propose transparent budget prices, while explaining to Markets how the impact is built. Follow-up on purchase price variances. Deliver financial targets for each category, based on TCO analysis & cost optimization/value in.
  • Participate in the Make or Buy decision process. 

Accountability 4: Drive Suppliers enabled innovation with the team & internal network to propose NPDs & transformational innovation projects to support business growth. 
Develop appropriate supplier relationships in alignment with business strategies, including effective management and monitoring of vendor contracts & performance. SRM is managed in close relationship with internal clients & stakeholders whilst driving towards reduction of supplier base where sensible to enable efficiencies.

Internally: Suntory SBFI Global Procurement, market Excoms, Procurement Category Directors, IT, P&C, Finance, Legal, R&D & other functions 
Externally: Suppliers, Consultants, Associations, Conferences
 

Skills and Experience

  • Substantial purchasing/supply chain experience (ideally Indirects)
  • Knowledge and experience of the relevant industry sector
  • Great people leader who can engage and motivate teams
  • High level negotiation ability
  • Strong influencing and communication skills at all level of organisation 
  • Agility, Flexibility, “think out of the box”
  • Excellence in analysis
  • Used to work in a matrix environment across different geographies/cultures 
  • Fluent in English; French & Spanish are a plus
