We are looking to recruit a Liquid New Product Development Industrial Placement Undergraduate Student to join our New Product Development Team.

 

The success of SBF GB&I is built on the creation of excellent products for our Lucozade and Ribena brands, therefore this is a great opportunity for a student who is looking for an industrial placement in order to gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced business environment and has a keen interest in New Product Development.

 

During our one-year programme, you will be working as part of the New Product Development (NPD) team, which sits under the wider Research and Development (R&D) team. We will provide you with an opportunity to contribute to the development of exciting new drinks throughout the product development lifecycle - from concept to launch. This will allow you to gain the fullest understanding of the end- to-end process which our products undergo to ensure we keep making products our consumers enjoy

YOUR ROLE

Some of the things you'll be involved in  -

With the support of the line Manager, participate in technical projects as assigned.

Acquire experience and basic knowledge on liquid development to commercialization.

Support the NPD team on day-to-day lab production and maintenance.

Work within cross-functional teams to drive forward the innovation and implementation of new SBF GB&I products

A year of structured and on-the-job training, together with the experience of our NPD team and other departments, will form an environment within which your scientific skills and abilities will be nurtured, and your commercial awareness will grow

You will get to witness, and contribute to, the entire product development life cycle - from planning and concept through to the end result.

WHAT YOU BRING

You are currently studying as an undergraduate in a Food Science related degree (Food Science, Food Science with Nutrition Food Technology, Food Chemistry, etc.)

You have a passion for NPD, science, food and beverages & are looking to get some practical work experience.

You are analytical and have critical thinking ability.

You are an excellent communicator with the ability to simplify and communicate complex scientific information.

You are confident to immerse yourself in an unfamiliar environment and take learning opportunities with enthusiasm.
