As our Marketing Manager you will have the responsibility for the creation of the long-term strategy from deep diagnosis through to long term plan, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed (GB+I/Europe) in a timely manner. This strategy should expand to the 2030 horizon and be a leading voice in the business here, influencing GB and European Board.

 

You will have true autonomy - Suntory runs a decentralised Marketing model which means the end-to-end Marketing of Lucozade is led by this individual.

 

You will have direct responsibility for the Brand DNA and visual identity, ensuring the brand world and brand book are bought to life, adhered to and lived and breathed.

 

Lucozade is currently in +20 countries and have ambitions to grow its footprint globally. This element of the role is growing in importance ensuring markets adhere to the brand guardrails and grow the brand.

 

You will be the key point of contact for SWBI and will implement the mindset in this role ensuring CBI product development (liquid, pack 2D, pack 3D) continues to evolve on core.

 

A key element of this role is the connection with CBE and Sponsorship Teams to ensure information and alignment is shared in a timely manner. This role is part of the Lucozade Leadership Team.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

  • Long Term Strategy - the creation of the MTP 3-year strategy plus 2030
  • Direct responsibility for the Brand DNA and visual identity - brand world and brand book are bought to life
  • Brand Guardianships – creation and monitoring on adherence
  • 3 yr Innovation Pipeline
  • Responsible for Lead Market Model (LZ across other countries)
  • Responsibility for the Evolution of Core Pack and Liquid
  • Responsibility for the CBI campaigns
  • Ensure the Core of Lucozade grows longer term
  • Communication skills critical to ensure alignment across CBE and Sponsorship.
  • Take a Leadership role in building and engaging the total Lucozade Team (and Marketing)
  • People Management and experience of managing high performing teams. Passionate about developing people (or a track record of developing people)
  • Strategic creative ownership of a brand and building brand equity - including advertising development, media strategy, writing briefs, agency management and digital strategy.

STRATEGIC THINKING: Build clear, compelling, and challenging brand plans that deliver for the consumer, customer and company. Be the voice of consumer, identifying both tactical and long-term opportunities while analysing the competition and identifying new opportunities. Connects compel pieces of information and turns them into excellent execution

BUILDING TEAMS & DEVELOPING PEOPLE: As a Senior leader in the business and a People Manager, the expectation is to build a high performing team, developing a culture of trust, collaboration and teamwork. Be a leader across the Lucozade Team (And Marketing) and have the ability to adapt communication style and be passionate in investing time in developing their team and succession plan.

AUTHENTICITY:   Strong, authentic leadership needed – must build strong, trusting relationships across multiple stakeholders and be able to influence as needed.   Must be confident to challenge the status quo with a healthy balance of assertiveness and tact.

CREATIVITY & LEADING CHANGE: Ability to think big for their brands and team. Identify and lead change using external agency partners to creatively give our brands a competitive edge. Be prepared to experiment, try new approaches and the courage to fail on the road to success
