Demand Control Manager

This is a 9 month FTC position
As our Demand Control Manager, you will take ownership of the communication and decision-making process to keep demand and supply synchronised when demand materialises differently than planned within ‘short term’ horizon (0–12-week window). You will represent the Operational Planning Team at all key internal meetings regarding supply chain stock issues and be the first point of contact for our internal commercial partners.
Your role manages around 50% of our total product portfolio, ensuring full communication around availability issues to drive decisions which mitigate the impact to core business KPI’s. You will maintain a focus on the short-term planning horizon, with a key focus on the rolling 4-week time fence, whilst efficiently escalating challenges and proposing solutions/resolving issues
YOUR ROLE
- Chair our Daily Execution Meetings, using daily/weekly comparison tools to show sales vs forecast and highlight variances to plan and identify any trends in over/under consumption, proposing corrective action to optimise sales.
- Lead the constrained supply/stock allocation process ensuring commercial priorities are respected.
- Representing Supply Chain in key cross functional business meetings such as WEM (Weekly Execution Meeting).
- Play a lead role in developing a review process that feeds the IBP cycle and, through collaboration with key internal stakeholders, helps to root cause previous out of stocks / shortages / over stocks and ensures that learnings are applied to future practices
- Create an engagement strategy that maps the key stakeholders and identifies the correct forums to raise and escalate the different types of supply challenges based on severity.
- Effectively influence internal stakeholders, with the goal of ensuring availability is maximised, by providing the forward outlook and a comprehensive view on any issues with planned resolutions, presenting and proposing actions required to deliver the plan/manage consequences & opportunities.
- Support the Commercial and Production Planning functions with the launch process for New Product Development and Renovation changes. Particularly supporting the launch period of 0 – 12 weeks.
- Develop and maintain a systems action plan that looks to optimise the demand control process, suggesting and working through improvements to data accuracy and reductions in manual effort, with particular focus on the usage of our APO system
WHAT YOU BRING
- University degree level
- Supply chain experience (minimum 4 years – preferably with major FMCG customers/retailers across all channels)
- Vast knowledge of operational planning and the soft drinks industry
- Experienced in supply chain best practices and business processes/methodologies
- Fluent in English
