THE JOB

As a Packaging Lab Assistant, you will support the implementation of packaging validation tests in alignment with SBFE quality standards and protocols. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure trials are executed efficiently and results are accurately reported.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

● Preparing and executing packaging trials using the TSR SharePoint tool.
● Coordinating with requesters (R&D, NPD, Marketing, bottling sites) to forecast and plan trials.
● Managing sample reception and preparation according to validation protocols.
● Analyzing test data and issuing technical reports with recommendations.
● Supporting lab upgrades, including documentation, calibration plans, and QMS uploads.
● Participating in bottle blowing and 3D printing processes when required.
● Attending third-party productions to ensure quality standards are met.
● Maintaining strong communication within the R&D Packaging team and BU teams.
● Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts.
● Ensuring compliance with QEHS, SPS, and other safety and quality systems.

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

To thrive in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and skills:

 

● Technical or graduate background in Food, Drinks, Packaging, or related industries.
● Some experience in manufacturing or packaging is a plus.
● Strong technical knowledge and interest in FMCG processes.
● Proficiency in Spanish and English; French is a plus.
● Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset.
● Familiarity with SBFE-approved software tools and systems.
● Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping is beneficial.
