ABOUT YOU

You are responsible for New Product Development (NPD) and product re-engineering of assigned projects. Your primary goal is to innovate and continuously improve products to meet market needs and exceed customer expectations. You work closely with various teams to ensure each project is executed efficiently and effectively, from conceptualization to implementation. Your focus on product re-engineering allows you to optimize processes and enhance quality, ensuring that products are competitive and of high quality.

THE JOB

In this role, you will be at the forefront of Core Brand Innovation (CBI)Core Brand Evolution (CBE), and Category Expansion (CE). As the technical development lead for assigned projects, you will ensure timely and complete delivery. Your responsibilities include creating recipes for compounds, emulsions, flavors, powder blends, and finished products, as well as developing manufacturing instructions for concentrates and bottling plants.

You will independently execute scientific and technical work on development projects and support production needs, including pilot, intermediates, and finished products. Additionally, you will provide technical support for strategic projects and Cost Out Value In (COVI) programs, ensuring all documentation and formulations are captured within the SBFE database.

Your role involves analytical validation and recording of lab samples or batches, addressing product/pack interaction issues, and resolving process-related concerns. You will write and review procedures, instructions, and guidelines relevant to the NPD process and lab equipment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the NPD organization.

In the laboratory, you will support equipment maintenance schedules, contribute to lab organization, and operate necessary laboratory equipment for NPD delivery. You will also contribute to the development of concepts and technical projects, stay updated on new ingredients, trends, and technologies, and help discover, develop, and commercialize new beverages, food, processes, or other innovations.

Cross-functionally, you will liaise with Technical Managers, R&D Technical Project Leaders, and third parties to ensure accuracy in the NPD process. You will support the delivery of new products, claims, and technology research & development programs, and participate in R&D cross-functional working groups for continuous improvement.

Lastly, you will attend industry seminars, events, and exhibitions to capture new trends, technologies, and processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in a food-related science field such as Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or Agricultural Engineering.
  • Demonstrated competence in developing beverages and managing projects.
  • Experience working within food companies.
  • Experience in coordinating project technical activities.
