The Opportunity:

We are now seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax-related activities across both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with local regulations and alignment with international standards. This pivotal role involves developing tax strategies, managing compliance, and providing expert advice to support our financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely tax returns for Australia and NZ.
  • Monitor and implement changes in tax laws.

 

Tax Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise tax position.
  • Provide advice for new business projects.

 

Transfer Pricing

  • Oversee compliance with local transfer pricing laws.
  • Align transfer pricing with global objectives.

 

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Conduct audits for accurate filings.

 

Collaboration & Communication

  • Integrate tax into decision-making with teams.
  • Build relationships with advisors and stay updated on trends.

 

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Identify improvements and automation in tax processes.
  • Use tax software (SAP, Oracle) for efficiency.

 

Training & Communication

  • Provide tax training to teams.
  • Communicate tax implications to stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in tax management, with a focus on Australian and New Zealand tax laws.
  • Strong understanding of transfer pricing principles and international tax regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement tax strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work independently in a hands-on role.
  • Strong resilience and the ambition to grow your career.
  • Experience in tax management related to alcohol or FMCG sales and distribution (Highly Desirable)
