The Opportunity
The Sustainability Analyst is a newly created role that will be pivotal in ensuring Suntory Oceania’s Scope 3 emission reporting is accurate and meets all internal and external requirements.
This role can be based in either our Sydney or Auckland office.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform carbon footprint assessments to quantify the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions associated with an organization's operations, products, or services.
- Apply standardised carbon accounting methodologies, such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO standards to generate reports
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to carbon emissions reporting, monitoring, and disclosure.
- Complete all internal reporting for Scope 3 emissions on time, accurately, and to a high standard.
- Collaborate with suppliers to help them improve their emission reporting
What's in your toolkit?
- Relevant tertiary qualification such as; Statistics, Geography, Environmental Sciences
- Understanding of Scope 3 reporting requirements and GHG reporting protocols
- Previous experience with carbon accounting and understanding of the concepts
- Previous experience with Scope 3 reporting in a large complex environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with large data sets
- Ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with external carbon accounting audit process would be highly beneficial
