Who are we?

Craft your future with Suntory Oceania, a new $3b multi-beverage partnership between Suntory Global Spirits and Suntory Beverage & Food. Underpinned by quality, craftsmanship and a strong sense of purpose, our exciting new partnership will be powered by two manufacturing sites, five distribution centres and more than 1500 Suntorians across Australia and New Zealand.

Our market-leading portfolio will have over 40 brands, including Jim Beam® and Maker's Mark® Bourbon, Hibiki® Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club® Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. As One Suntory, we will be positioned as the fourth largest beverage player in the region, ready to ignite the category, creating more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset. Together, we will bring the best of Suntory to Oceania.

The Opportunity:

At Suntory Oceania, we’re building brands that consumers love — and making it easier for them to win at the moment of purchase. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of marketing, commercial strategy, and retailer execution.

We’re looking for a true bridge-builder; someone who moves seamlessly between marketing ambition and commercial reality, challenges constructively, and delivers outcomes that land in-store and online.

As Shopper Marketing Manager, you’ll lead end-to-end shopper strategy, from big-picture thinking through to execution across all channels. Partnering closely with Marketing and Commercial teams, you’ll ensure ideas are not only bold and brand-led, but grounded in shopper behaviour, retailer dynamics, and commercial impact.

This isn’t about taking sides; it’s about bringing both together to deliver better outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Bringing strategy to life: Lead integrated shopper marketing activity from long-term planning through to execution, driving visibility and conversion across the path to purchase.
  • Driving commercial impact: Influence investment decisions and deliver against revenue, share, and profitability targets.
  • Bridging Marketing & Commercial: Align ambition with reality — navigating tension, shaping conversations, and landing outcomes that work for retailers and the business.
  • Retail & customer centricity: Build deep understanding of retailer strategies, shopper missions, and channel dynamics to unlock growth.
  • Leading activation excellence: Deliver standout omnichannel campaigns, promotions, and in-store experiences.
  • Stakeholder leadership: Influence and present to senior leaders across Marketing, Sales, and external partners.
  • Team leadership: Lead and elevate a high-performing team, creating clarity, direction, and space for them to thrive.

Ingredients for success:

Just like every can of V Energy is built on the right formula, there are a few key ingredients for success in this role. You’re a well-rounded operator with both credibility and presence, equally comfortable in marketing and commercial environments.

  • Proven experience in shopper marketing, brand activation, or channel marketing within FMCG or similar.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance creativity and brand ambition with ROI, trade investment, and retailer realities.
  • Confidence operating with senior stakeholders, with the ability to influence, present, and navigate complexity.
  • A natural connector and listener who builds trust and aligns cross-functional teams.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales/commercial teams and external retail customers.
  • The ability to lead from strategy through to execution, bringing plans to life in market.
  • A people-first leadership style, empowering others, creating clarity, and lifting performance.
  • A mindset that thrives between marketing and commercial; comfortable leaning into tension and turning it into progress.

What's in it for you?

  • Grow your career, we like to promote from within and have incredible learning and development opportunities around the world.
  • Quarterly product allowance to spend at our staff shop.
  • Generous incentive program available to all of our permanent team members.
  • Drive transformation and innovation in a future-fit operating model.
  • An inclusive parental leave policy for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • Birthday leave – enjoy a day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • Gradual return to work to help you transition back from parental leave.
  • Work in a culture that values diversity, collaboration and growth.
  • Flexible working – flexible hours and hybrid working.
  • We are committed to giving back to our communities, so we provide you with volunteer leave to do so.
