The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Finance Director – Supply Chain, the Senior Commercial Manager – AU Manufacturing operates at a strategic leadership level, providing commercial insight, financial governance and decision support across our manufacturing operations.
You will play a critical role in owning and driving strategic initiatives, influencing site and enterprise outcomes, and leading the manufacturing finance agenda with confidence and purpose. This position has one direct report (Management Accountant) and is ideal for a commercially astute finance leader who thrives in collaborative, operational environments.
The role can be based in Sydney NSW or Swanbank QLD, with flexibility to support the needs of the business regardless of location.
What you'll do:
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to Manufacturing leadership, influencing decisions and driving sustainable cost and performance outcomes.
- Provide strategic financial insight across labour, overheads, materials, unit costs and manufacturing efficiency.
- Own and lead forecasting, budgeting and medium‑term planning for manufacturing operations.
- Develop clear, impactful financial reporting that brings the numbers to life for non‑finance stakeholders.
- Provide commercial leadership on capital investments, business cases and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, coach and develop your direct report while contributing to a high‑performing Supply Chain Finance function.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, capability and financial outcomes across manufacturing.

- Proven manufacturing finance partnering experience. (essential)
- Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic, enterprise-wide level, not just transactional finance.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing senior operational leaders.
- A collaborative working style with the credibility to challenge, engage and align stakeholders.
- A strong sense of ownership, drive and accountability for delivering strategic initiatives.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance; CA/CPA (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
- Experience leading and developing others is essential.
