The Opportunity:
As a Regional Business Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in bringing our strategy to life, developing high‑performing teams, and creating a strong culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration across NSW and the ACT. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion, reflecting our strong focus on developing and progressing talent within Suntory Oceania.
This is a people‑led, commercially focused role where success comes from balancing strategic thinking with strong execution, deep customer relationships, and an unwavering focus on team capability and performance.
You will lead a regional sales team, translating Suntory Oceania’s strategic priorities into clear regional, channel, and territory plans. You’ll own the delivery of sales targets, manage regional P&L and discount budgets, and ensure pricing and promotional activity supports sustainable growth. As a senior field sales leader, you will actively contribute to broader commercial strategy while building trusted relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
People leadership sits at the heart of this role. You will coach and develop your team, set clear objectives aligned to business strategy, manage performance, and build strong succession and development plans. You will also be instrumental in leading change initiatives, embedding new ways of working, and ensuring your team remains engaged, capable, and future‑ready.
What you'll do:
- Develop and execute a regional strategy aligned to Suntory Oceania’s business objectives.
- Deliver sales budgets, quarterly targets, and agreed NSV outcomes.
- Manage regional P&L, overheads, promotions, and discount budgets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse sales team, creating a high‑performance culture.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and senior internal stakeholders.
- Drive effective forecasting, performance reporting, and variance management.
- Lead and embed change initiatives within the region.
- Ensure all activities meet health, safety, and compliance standards.
Ingredients for success:
Just like every can of V Energy is built on the right formula, there are a few key ingredients we’re looking for in this role. You are an experienced FMCG sales leader with strong commercial acumen and a passion for developing people. You bring energy, curiosity, and a growth mindset, and you enjoy finding better ways of working in a fast‑paced environment. You are comfortable working strategically while staying close to execution and the realities of the field.
In addition, we are looking for someone who brings:
- Prior FMCG experience, including exposure to national or major customer management.
- Proven people leadership and coaching experience.
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, pricing, promotions, and sales performance.
- Strategic mindset with a strong execution focus.
- High level of stakeholder management capability.
- Comfort working autonomously in a dynamic environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
What's in it for you?
- Grow your career, we like to promote from within and have incredible learning and development opportunities around the world.
- Quarterly product allowance to spend at our staff shop.
- Generous incentive program available to all of our permanent team members.
- Drive transformation and innovation in a future-fit operating model.
- An inclusive parental leave policy for both primary and secondary caregivers.
- Birthday leave – enjoy a day off to celebrate your birthday.
- Gradual return to work to help you transition back from parental leave.
- Work in a culture that values diversity, collaboration and growth.
- Flexible working – flexible hours and hybrid working.
