The Opportunity:
At Suntory Oceania, we’re on a mission to delight consumers with bold beverages and brilliant service. As our Credit Manager (12‑month Fixed Term Contract), you’ll play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of our credit department—ensuring best practice, minimising risk, and fostering strong relationships across the business.
You’ll lead a high-performing team of credit professionals, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across credit control, reporting, systems, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be the go-to expert for debt management, cash flow forecasting, and process optimisation—ensuring Suntory remains agile, efficient, and customer-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Control & Risk Management: Monitor company debt, manage bad debts, and ensure credit is issued appropriately.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Own the credit financial reporting process including ATB and cash flow forecasting.
- Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor, and develop a team of 5 direct and 7 indirect reports. Drive performance through KPIs and PDPs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with Sales, Logistics, Customer Service, and external partners.
- Process & Systems Improvement: Challenge the status quo, review systems (SAP, 1Centre, Office Torque), and implement best practice solutions.
What you'll bring:
Essential:
- Proven leadership experience in credit or accounts receivable within a high-volume environment
- Strong reconciliation and debt management skills
- Advanced Excel and experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Desirable:
- FMCG industry experience
- Exposure to credit bureau networks and external collection agencies
