The Opportunity:

This is a high-impact, National Business Manager role, responsible for leading major Petrol & Convenience customers and acting as a true 2IC to the Head of Petrol & Convenience. You’ll manage a large, complex remit, own critical Joint Business Plans, and play a key role in financial delivery and strategic execution across the channel.

You will lead profitable growth through best‑in‑class customer partnerships, sharp commercial thinking and disciplined execution – while stepping up confidently in senior forums and engaging with the Executive and SLT when required.

This role can either be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and delivery of Joint Business Plans (JBP) for major P&C customers (e.g. 7‑Eleven, BP or equivalent).
  • Act as deputy to the Head of Channel, supporting IBP processes and stepping into whole‑of‑channel leadership conversations when required.
  • Deliver NSV, GP and OI targets, owning forecast accuracy, trade spend and financial performance.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with major customers and internal stakeholders across Category, Marketing, RGM, Finance, Demand, Supply Chain and Field Sales.
  • Drive category leadership through insight‑led ranging, pricing, promotions and execution.
  • Identify growth opportunities, manage risk, and continuously lift performance across distribution, visibility and execution.
  • Provide clear, confident updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Ingredients for success:

Just like every can of V Energy is built on the right formula, there are a few key ingredients we’re looking for in this role:

  • Significant experience managing major corporate grocery and/or Petrol & Convenience customers. (e.g. Coles, Woolworths, Coles Liquor, P&C, or other major national accounts)
  • Proven experience operating at scale with big, complex accounts and large commercial remit.
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial discipline and forecasting capability.
  • Demonstrated success in building and delivering robust JBPs.
  • Hunger, drive and momentum – a leader who wants to grow, stretch and step into broader responsibility.
  • Confidence operating as a senior peer to internal leaders and customers.
  • Ability to step up, influence and lead in IBP forums and SLT-level discussions.
  • FMCG background with extensive experience in national or strategic account roles.

What's in it for you?

  • Grow your career, we like to promote from within and have incredible learning and development opportunities around the world.
  • Quarterly product allowance to spend at our staff shop.
  • Generous incentive program available to all of our permanent team members.
  • Drive transformation and innovation in a future-fit operating model.
  • An inclusive parental leave policy for both primary and secondary caregivers.
  • Birthday leave – enjoy a day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • Gradual return to work to help you transition back from parental leave.
  • Work in a culture that values diversity, collaboration and growth.
  • Flexible working – flexible hours and hybrid working.
  • We are committed to giving back to our communities, so we provide you with volunteer leave to do so.
