The Opportunity
We’re building a best-in-class and diverse Sales team for our brand new Australian licensed function which will go-live in July 2025.
The role of National Business Manager for our Liquor Marketing Group (LMG) offers something unique and career defining, working with a key customer within the Independents off-premise channel. Joining the business in the build phase you will work as part of the team to establish process and ways of working before our official launch in July. Reporting to our Head of Independents, this role of National Business Manager will support our LMG customer base (retail banners include Bottlemart, SipnSave, Liquor Legends, Harry Browns) and is critical in leading the delivery of joint business plans to deliver profitable growth for LMG across category, marketing and in-store/venue excellence.
Key responsibilities include:-
- Create and deliver Joint Business Plan in collaboration with LMG
- Working closely with the Head of Independents as custodians of the relationship with LMG
- Full P&L responsibility, including nett sales, gross profit and market share
- Responsible for delivery of base and over and above promotional programs to assist in the achievement of sales objectives, company channel & brand strategies
- Lead business review with LMG to identify opportunities in ranging, distribution and promotional activities. Working closely with Category & Marketing to deliver outstanding category and shopper best in class execution
- Negotiate and foster trading relationships with terms that optimise results
- Channel planning – Off Premise support and contribute to the long-and-short term business plans
- Working closely with cross functional teams to own future financial forecast & demand plan
- Using data to craft category driving initiatives
What's in your toolkit
If you have been working in the FMCG industry and keen to make the move into the Liquor sector then this could be the role for you. We’re looking for an individual with a strong track record of success in Account or Category Management, we’re not specific about having previous Liquor experience. We have hired a team of Liquor professionals who can quickly get you up-to-speed on the ins and outs of the marketplace, you will bring the right attitude and aptitude to learn and grow in this exciting business and sector. With the right foundations of commercial acumen, success in developing and implementing joint strategic sales plans, exceptional communication and negotiation skills coupled with a drive to deliver results will all contribute to your success in this new role. We will value your unique experience to bring a different perspective as we craft our processes and ways of working to set the benchmark of how we work together internally and with our customers, we have the platform here to deliver something really transformational and you could be a part of it!
