The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Head of IT Infrastructure to join our Digital & IT Leadership Team and play a critical role in enabling the business through resilient, secure and customer‑focused technology services.

 

Reporting to the Digital & IT Director, Oceania, this role has end‑to‑end accountability for IT infrastructure, service delivery and digital workplace services across Australia and New Zealand.

 

You will lead a team responsible for:

  • Core infrastructure (networks, servers, end‑user computing)
  • Service delivery and customer success
  • Cyber security infrastructure
  • Digital Workplace services such as end‑user devices, productivity tools, knowledge management, identity and collaboration platforms

 

You’ll operate at both a strategic and operational level, partnering closely with senior business stakeholders, global IT teams and strategic vendors to ensure technology enables growth, efficiency and resilience.

What you'll do:

  • Infrastructure & Operations: Own and operate the enterprise infrastructure estate across offices, distribution centres, manufacturing (OT) environments and third‑party data centres in AU & NZ, delivering infrastructure and cyber security initiatives aligned to global and regional roadmaps while ensuring technology enables critical business operations.
  • Service Delivery & Customer Success: Lead service desk and customer success functions against agreed SLAs, driving incident and problem management and continuous improvement to lift service reliability, performance and customer experience.
  • Digital Workplace Product Ownership: Act as product owner for Digital Workplace services, partnering with solution owners to deliver roadmap initiatives that enhance productivity, collaboration and employee experience.
  • Supplier & Financial Management: Manage strategic vendors and partners, overseeing performance, security and value delivery, while owning an operational budget of approximately $4m and building strong, long‑term supplier relationships.
  • Leadership: Lead and develop a high‑performing infrastructure team, represent Infrastructure on the Digital & IT Leadership Team, contribute to global standards and ways of working, and build a proactive, engaged and future‑ready team with clear succession plans.

Essential:

  • Proven people leadership capability in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Deep, current knowledge of IT infrastructure and architecture.
  • Strong operational management experience, with exposure to DevOps and agile ways of working.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics for senior leaders and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Background working in medium to large, multinational organisations.
  • Relevant IT or business qualification.
  • Product lifecycle management capability and a strong understanding of modern IT trends.

 

Desirable:

  • Broad technology industry experience.
  • Experience working with global teams across regions and time zones.
  • Infrastructure modernisation or transformation experience.
  • Program management exposure and ITIL certification.
