The Opportunity

This position will lead the Commercial agenda relating to the Celsius brand for the ANZ market and develop the portfolio in a profitable and consumer-driven way in cooperation with the Celsius CCO and together with the Distribution Partner (Suntory Oceania). This role leads the engagement, JBP goals and system commercial outcomes within the trade via the Suntory system for Celsius and leverages the preferred category partner within the trade via the Suntory system. This role has an active role within the Celsius International Leadership Team in the development of Commercial systems and competencies in current and future markets and ownership of the overall Commercial function in the market and is the primary owner of the relationship with Suntory Oceania.
 

The role will lead monthly financial reporting (including profitability), monthly commercial reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBR’s) and annual ‘Top to Tops’ for strategic partners. It will be a key conduit for the sales and marketing team – keeping both updated with requirements and contractual obligations of agreements.    

 

The role will work with sales teams on driving focus periods for respective portfolio, NPD roll out, managing trade spend and how to unlock new customer opportunities. It will require strong interpersonal skills (including stakeholder management) and how to negotiate. It will require close working relationships with both sales and marketing and require seeing both perspectives to partner for business growth.

 

The Commercial Manager plays an active role within the International Leadership Team (Celsius) in the development of Commercial systems and competencies in current and future markets. The Commercial Manager has ownership of the overall Commercial function in the market and is the primary owner of the relationship with the Distributor (Suntory).

Are you up for it?

To enable you to hit the ground running, we’re looking for:

 

  • Sales, Finance or Commercial Leadership Experience including strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, profit true up and managing spend within guardrails)
  • Degree qualified in a Business, Finance or Commercial discipline.
  • 5-10 years industry experience in FMCG
  • Process management experience (Monthly meetings, QBR – collating decks, working with stakeholders and presenting), JBP – collating material, working closely with ELT and senior leaders)
  • Commercial strategy and portfolio strategy experience
  • Distributor and franchise management
  • Cross functional exposure / experience across channels and departments
  • Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder and customer management – NPD, Sell decks, NPD process management, partner management.
  • Strong negotiator with superb influencing skills
  • Forecasting / demand planning exposure
  • Strategy generation and execution across total business
