The Opportunity:
This position will support our non-alcohol side of the business and Business Partner with our Sales team primarily in the Grocery channel. In addition to providing commercial and analytical support you will also support adhoc project work required of the Finance team.
Support will be provided to the AU Sales team principally Commercial advice and guidance driving better commercial decision making, but also analytic support focussed on understanding performance, forecasting and tracking of sales KPI’s, trading terms analysis and ad-hoc commercial support and coaching of the AU Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering: Build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders across Sales and Finance to drive alignment and business outcomes.
• Commercial Support & Analysis: Partner with AU Sales to drive better decisions with financial insights, sales tracking, and promotional analysis.
• Financial Insight: Deliver actionable financial analysis on channels and customers, identifying opportunities and risks to optimize performance.
• Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Manage AU Net Sales budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting, providing clear insights on volume, price, mix, and GP.
• Strategic & Ad-hoc Support: Provide financial analysis for strategic projects, supporting business changes and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
• RGM Partnership: Work with the RGM team to improve value, optimise pricing strategies, and analyse promotional effectiveness.
• KPI Management & Coaching: Support Sales in achieving KPIs, offering coaching and guidance to drive performance.
Where do you fit in?
To enable you to hit the ground running, we’re looking for:
• FMCG Experience: Experience within the FMCG industry is mandatory; alternatively, retail experience would be looked at favourably.
• Proven Business Partnering & Influencing Skills: Demonstrated ability to influence sales teams through data-driven insights and strategic guidance.
• Sales & Commercial Collaboration: Extensive experience partnering with sales and commercial teams to drive business performance.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication: Exceptional ability to manage stakeholders, clearly communicating complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
• Strategic & Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Agility & Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving environment, supporting Suntory Oceania’s transformation journey.
• Curiosity & Continuous Improvement: Intellectual curiosity and the confidence to challenge the status quo, constantly seeking better ways to improve processes and outcomes.
• Professional Qualifications: CA or CPA qualification required.
