The Opportunity:

As a result of business growth, we are seeking three highly motivated Commercial Finance Analysts to support our Licenced Sales team (On-Premise, Independent customers, National Customers). These roles will provide commercial and analytical support to the Finance team, working on ad-hoc projects while helping to establish a new Licenced Commercial Finance function. As we launch our new RTM (Route-to-Market), this position will be critical in driving better decision-making through financial guidance and insight.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Finance Processes for Licensed Channel:

  • Support the Commercial Manager in setting up processes for the new Licensed function.
  • Assist with system testing and sign-off for smooth implementation.
  • Manage sales planning, financial processes, and budget reporting for licensed channels.
  • Identify gaps and work with teams to resolve issues.

 

Reporting, Insights & Analysis:

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of NSV, GP, and overheads.
  • Ensure accurate month-end financials with the sales team.
  • Provide regular reporting and handle ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Monitor balance sheet accounts and trade spend risks.

 

Financial & Commercial Management:

  • Ensure compliance with RGM guidelines and contract terms to avoid revenue leakage.
  • Oversee claims management and maintain communication between sales and credit teams.
  • Manage customer-facing financial reporting.

 

Process Improvement:

  • Drive process optimisation through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop reporting tools to support IBP and operational needs (Power BI skills a plus).

Where do you fit in?

To enable you to hit the ground running, we’re looking for:

 

  • FMCG Experience, preferably in Licensed or Alcohol sectors (Highly Desirable)
  • Candidates with a solid foundation in Finance and a track record of success in similar roles
  • Strong analytical and process optimisation skills
  • Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle complex data sets and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • CA/CPA qualified or studying towards
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Intermediate MS Word & PowerPoint skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders, including non-financial ones
  • A detail-oriented and results-driven mindset
