The Opportunity

Supporting the next phase of growth, we have created a new role Business Insights Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decision-making and unlocking performance opportunities across the non-licensed commercial operations in Australia and New Zealand.

 

Reporting to the Head of Insights (CI & BI), the Business Insights Manager is responsible for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business growth and performance. You will also be involved in establishing ways of working and best practice process to this newly formed team.  We’re establishing these teams across the globe so there is the opportunity to work in unison across other markets in the Suntory network.

What you'll do:-

  • You will lead analysis across the market, customer, category, shopper and internal performance data, partnering closely with senior leaders across Marketing, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, Category to ensure decisions are evidence based and aligned to strategic priorities
  • The role is central to the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Monthly Business Review (MBR) cycles and will act as a trusted advisor on performance trends, risks and opportunities across Australia & New Zealand
  • Lead the process and content for the MBR
  • Deliver deep dive analysis across demand planning and IBP cycles
  • Lead market and share forecasting and model business scenarios to assess further outcomes and trade-offs
  • Present insights through compelling storytelling with clear, action-oriented recommendations
  • Connect with peers globally to share insights and experiences

What you bring:-

  • A strong understanding of and experience with scan, shopper and panel data with the ability to analyse to distil into insights and recommendations for senior leaders
  • Delivery of insights and recommendations in a compelling way through storytelling
  • Previous experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel etc
  • The ability to influence and challenge a status-quo or preconceived idea for commercial impact
  • Strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset
  • A natural curiosity to get to the source of the insight
