About your role
This role is responsible for developing and executing category management strategies, driving savings and value creation, managing supplier relationships and risks, ensuring supply continuity, and partnering with stakeholders to support business objectives. As a key member of the procurement function, the position contributes to building best-in-class procurement capabilities, processes, and practices aligned with Suntory's regional and global strategies.
What You'll Do
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align sourcing strategies, demand planning, pricing, and supply requirements with business objectives.
- Provide market intelligence and commodity insights to support business planning, decision-making, innovation, and new product development initiatives.
Category Sourcing, Supplier & Contract Management
- Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, value, and supply performance.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance reviews while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.
Supply Assurance & Risk Management
- Ensure supply continuity through effective forecasting, supplier collaboration, inventory management, and contingency planning.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain, market, quality, and operational risks to support business continuity.
Procurement Excellence & Governance
- Drive procurement process excellence through effective governance, controls, systems, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) management.
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support informed decision-making.
Sustainability & ESG
- Promote responsible sourcing practices and supplier engagement to support sustainability and ESG objectives.
- Drive environmental, social, and ethical sourcing initiatives across the supplier base in collaboration with key stakeholders.
What You need to be successful
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in Raw Materials procurement within a multinational environment.
- Proven experience in regional procurement leadership, strategic sourcing, category management, and team management.
- Experience in supply chain planning, including demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory management.
- Functional expertise in sourcing, category management, S&OP, project management, and SAP.
- Strong commercial negotiation, supplier management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with fluency in English.
