About your role

This role will assist the Tax Director in managing and addressing local tax matters while playing a key role in strengthening tax risk management and controls. You will work closely with management, business functions, and business units to provide practical tax advice and support sound business decisions. The role will also provide opportunities to contribute to a range of business and tax projects, helping to drive effective tax processes and mitigate potential tax risks across the organisation.

What You'll Do

  • Tax Advisory & Business Support: Support local business units on tax audits and provide practical tax advice on tax-related queries and business matters.
  • Tax Risk Management: Develop and implement an effective framework to identify, evaluate, manage, and monitor tax risks across the Group.
  • Tax Risk Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor tax positions across entities and business units in various countries, providing regular risk updates and insights to management.
  • Tax Strategy & Optimisation: Support the implementation of tax strategies to optimise the Group’s tax position and provide tax advice on business development and strategic initiatives.
  • Tax Environment & Compliance: Monitor local and international tax developments, assess the impact of changes in tax laws and regulations, and drive appropriate actions across the Group.
  • Tax Compliance & Process Improvement: Review and enhance tax compliance processes to ensure they remain robust, effective, and aligned with evolving business and regulatory requirements.
  • Tax Automation & Digitalisation: Lead and drive automation initiatives within the Group Tax function to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance tax processes.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support the Tax Director in managing and delivering ad hoc tax, commercial, and strategic projects across the Group.

What You need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
  • Singapore Accredited Tax Practitioner qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 6–12 years of relevant tax experience, preferably gained in a multinational corporation, professional services firm, or law firm.
  • Strong experience in international tax matters, cross-border taxation, and transfer pricing.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects effectively.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good knowledge and exposure to international and/or regional tax matters, particularly across Asia Pacific.
  • Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, as well as transfer pricing regulations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate tax considerations into practical business advice.
  • Ability to analyse complex tax issues and provide practical, risk-based solutions.
