About your role

As an Assistant Key Account Manager (Modern Trade), you play a critical role in driving sustainable growth for the Health Enrichment and Beverage category- BRAND’S®, Ribena, CC Lemon, Boss Coffee portfolio within Modern Trade accounts- Sheng Siong, Giant, Cold Storage and Prime. Working closely with the Key Account Manager and cross‑functional teams, you support strategic account initiatives, commercial planning, and flawless in‑store execution to deliver sell‑out, profitability, and strong customer partnerships.

This role offers hands‑on exposure to key retailers, commercial decision‑making, and end‑to‑end Modern Trade operations in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Peers: 1 x Assistant Key Account Manager (managing Fairprice, 7-Eleven)
Key Account: Sheng Siong, Giant, Cold Storage and Prime

What You'll Do

 

  • Support end‑to‑end management of assigned Modern Trade accounts, including planning, execution, and performance tracking.
  • Assist in developing and executing Joint Business Plans to achieve sales and growth targets.
  • Track sales performance, sell‑out, inventory, promotion effectiveness, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Support commercial discussions on promotions, pricing, and visibility, in line with approved strategies.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure healthy stock levels and service performance.
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of trade promotions, product launches, and visibility initiatives.
  • Work closely with field operations and merchandising teams to ensure in‑store execution excellence, including planogram, pricing, and promotional compliance.
  • Prepare performance reports, business reviews, and presentation materials for internal and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure aligned execution.

What You need to be successful

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Sales or Key Account Management within the Modern Trade channel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and promotion data.
  • Good understanding of trade promotions, forecasting, and in‑store execution metrics.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to BI or reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative with a strong sense of ownership.
