We are seeking an inquisitive and tenacious Assistant, Micro to join us at Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pacific. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in conducting of microbe testing, planning of microbial validation/QA support working for non-alcohol beverage and health enrichment products in Southeast Asian and Oceanian countries. You will also get to work on new projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for conducting and planning of microbe inspection process, including analysis and tests on raw materials, blending and inoculation
• Purchase of laboratory goods, controlling the stock, preparation of microbe tests, validation and isolation etc.
• Plan the microbial validation for each factory process.  Support the regional and local stakeholders on the microbial testing procedures, including documentation
• Conduct the research of microbe to create the microbe guideline
• Assist in development and validation of new and alternative test methods
• Work and communicate closely with internal stakeholders from Product Development and Quality Assurance on project requirements

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or equivalent
• 1 to 2 years’ experience with Food science, microbiological background/experience is preferred
• Experience in factory quality control or laboratory experience in microbe or beverage industries is added advantage
• Experience in instruments such as UHT, retort and carbonator machine
• Fundamental scientific knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel
• Good communication and collaborating skills
• Open-minded, curiosity for new things/changes of society
