QC Technician - Saraburi plant

Job Summary

Responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of mixing, filling, capping, packing and palletizing processes. Evaluating and testing of finished syrup and products with reference to ensure within standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts routine analyses using established physics-chemical analytical procedures on finished syrup and finished goods to ensure conformance according to specifications.
  • Ensures correctness of syrup batch traceability, final rinse water checks, finished product analysis, filling, closing and packing processes & test methods.
  • Conducts product monitoring testing activities during start-up operations and at designated intervals. thereafter to ensure conformance to established specifications.
  • Prepares control drink beverage for every batch of carbonated beverage syrup and checks the physics-chemical and sensory characteristics of the simulated products.
  • Provides timely and reliable feedback of abnormalities detected in the monitoring system and recommends solutions to in-process and product related problems encountered in the plant.
  • Utilizes statistical tools and techniques in evaluating laboratory results, methods validation and other data that require statistical analysis. Summarizes data for management review.
  • Maintains accurate records of process and product test results. Practices proper conduct and discretion in handling of confidential information.
  • Properly prepare and communicate to next shift for any quality data or issues from the previous shift.
  • Implements preventive maintenance of laboratory instruments through regular check-up and calibration to ensure continuous availability, as well as confidence in the analytical results.
  • Conducts evaluation for new and/or improved products undergoing trial runs.
  • Conducts and/or participates in sensory evaluation of products according to Pl Standard and when the plant required.
  • Documents test procedures and work instructions.
  • Serves as leader in the shift in the absence of a Team Leader.
  • Conducts/participates in intra-laboratory proficiency testing on identified critical parameters to assure confidence and integrity of results.
  • Conducts validation testing for quality defects inspection devices on line to ensure its performance as proper set up plan.
  • Performs or attends to other job-related matters that may be assigned by QC Manager, QC Supervisor. Know the potential hazards/environmental impacts and necessary safeguards/controls in their work area(s) Report hazards, accidents, injuries, illnesses, emergencies, spills, etc.
  • Understand why HSE is important to self and the Company.
  • Participate in HSE activities and training.

Skills and Experience

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or related field.
  • At least 1-year experience in quality control and inspection.
  • Good command of spoken and written English will be an advantage and computer literate.
  • With moral character and good attitude.
