Packaging Machine Operator - Rayong Plant
Job Summary
This position directly reports to the PET Line Supervisor and is responsible in operating the machine in the assigned area with the following objectives:
1. To operate and ensure efficient utilization of the all machine and minimize the rejection rate. Responsible in checking, set up and monitoring of all machine according to scheduled plan, and perform other duties and functions that may be assigned from time to time.
2. Providing technical assistance and expertise to the PET Line supervisor to administer the planning and implementation of system and procedure as basis for management decision regarding all machine operations and other related processes.
Job responsibilities
- Conducts line quality control test on products in his respective area of assignment.
- Conducts check and repair of machine/equipment periodically as per preventive scheduled plan or as necessary.
- Actively participates in problem solving sessions and attend training.
- Countercheck cleaning up, maintaining proper housekeeping and good manufacturing practices (GMP) in the machine & work area assigned.
- Countercheck performs the necessary start-up, test run and shut down operation in accordance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) or as recommended by the manual and does the necessary adjustments.
- Counterchecks all emergency cut – off switches, otherwise informs the supervisor about the problem and do the necessary measures.
- Monitoring perform lubrication of parts in the machine periodical or as per scheduled plan.
- Monitoring Performs corrective measures on operating parameters based on the result of the physical test to maintain the product quality within specification under the supervision of the production.
- Ensure that all equipment and machine components in the packaging line are in good operating condition and addresses the problem encountered with regards to their performance correctly.
- Submits production volume and reason for variance in operation, takes records on monitoring check sheets concerning machine setting parameters and auxiliary equipment during operation.
- Responsible in keeping and controlling the spare parts.
- Coordinates to next shift operator to turn over all reports and log sheets which provides all the information about the production run status (pending process, parameter used, machine status, etc.)
- Other functions/duties as may be assigned or requested by the supervisor.
- Participates in all activities in achieving goals and quality programs regarding Quality Foods Safety, Environment Health & Safety standards, ISO and Plant requirements.
- Operate under HSE regulations with awareness according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instruction (WI) company usage personal protective equipment (PPE) according to the company. It is used in various areas and practice and cooperate in achieving the QHSE metrics and goals of the department or related department to support the QHSE policy. Attend training and emergency practice as schedule is set by the company, ready for internal and external monitoring of QHSE in conjunction with the supervisor to assess the risks and environmental aspect impacts.
CONTROL AND/OR SUPERVISION REQUIRED
1. This position has the authority to stop production when product does not conform to specification and immediately inform his/her immediate supervisor.
2. This position has to control over the operation of the packaging line and to ensure efficient operation and quality of products.
3. Major process adjustments should be cleared and approved.
Skill and Experience
1. Diplomas of Mechanical, Electrical or another related Technical Professional.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Blowing, Filling , Packing process
3. Working knowledge of the concepts and applications of management quality systems at least 1 year such as 5 S, GMP, HACCP or ISO etc.
4. Familiar of fundamental operation of equipment, knowledge of problem solving and preventive/corrective maintenance concept
5. With moral character and good attitude.
6. Moderate command of spoken & written English and computer literate
