About your role
As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in translating brand and category strategies into channel activation plans that drive sustainable business growth across Beverage category. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and external partners to develop effective shopper and customer programs, strengthen in-store execution, and enhance category performance.
This role offers the opportunity to influence commercial strategies, lead category initiatives, and deliver impactful shopper experiences that support both business objectives and brand growth.

What You'll Do
Trade Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute channel strategies aligned with commercial and brand objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities within GT and East Malaysia channels.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to create shopper-focused activation programs.
- Analyze category, market, and competitor data to support business decision-making.
- Develop initiatives to address volume gaps and drive sales growth.
Channel Activation & Sales Support
- Lead the planning and execution of channel-specific activity calendars.
- Monitor and evaluate trade marketing investments to ensure effective budget utilization and ROI.
- Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and channel development initiatives.
- Develop sales support materials and promotional tools to enhance execution excellence.
- Communicate promotional activities and channel plans to key stakeholders.
Shopper Marketing & In-Store Excellence
- Design and implement shopper-centric activation programs.
- Develop and maintain merchandising and execution standards.
- Partner with agencies and external vendors to deliver effective in-store activations.
- Support chiller and visibility initiatives to strengthen brand presence at the point of purchase.
Category & Commercial Development
- Leverage category management principles to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide customer and channel insights using market data and shopper research.
- Support new product development (NPD) initiatives through channel and category recommendations.
- Contribute to customer business reviews and commercial planning processes.
Team Collaboration & Capability Building
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders.
- Support capability development by sharing best practices, tools, and market insights.
- Lead or contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You need to be successful
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, Category Management, Commercial Planning, or related functions within FMCG or consumer goods industries.
- Experience working with General Trade, Modern Trade, or multi-channel environments is advantageous.
- Exposure to beverage or fast-moving consumer goods categories is beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market, category, and shopper insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience utilizing retail, consumer, or market data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, retail audit data) to support business decisions.
- Understanding of trade promotions, shopper marketing, category management, and execution excellence.
