Supply Chain Finance Assistant Manager

Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the supply chain operations, ensuring that financial objectives are met while driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role supports in financial planning, analysis, reporting, providing financial insights, and guidance to optimize decision-making, enhance efficiency, and achieve financial targets.

The main stakeholders for this position are mainly the Finance & Accounting team and Supply Chain team; the position is also playing a critical role as business partnering between the Finance function and Supply Chain Function.
 

Job Responsibilities

Reporting & Budgeting
•    Responsible to prepare monthly result performance reporting
•    Report on COGS cost tracker by tracking the various components that contribute to COGS, ensuring accurate financial reporting and better cost control
•    Review and update productivity savings tracking file and portal; provide analysis on the project status and results
•    Responsible for monthly forecast of latest estimation (RR) and yearly budget (AOP) exercise for COGS & SC OPEX
•    Estimate and compute product costing during the budgeting period to analyze the impact of COGS

OEM & Supply Chain Operations Management
•    Review cost and performance of multiple OEMs that covering the distribution for 5 markets in Cluster Asia. Analyze variances and provide recommendations for improvement.  
•    Monitor and manage supply chain costs, including procurement, SC operations, inventory, and logistics. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective cost control measures.
•    Verify & manage SC related cost - Purchase Price Variance (PPV), OEM variance, inventory aging, logistic cost etc
•    To support procurement in commodity material price tracking and periodically review on its cost impact to Business
•    Collaboration with SC team to drive productivity savings by providing the analytical, strategic, and financial support needed to optimize supply chain operations. 

Inventory Management
•    Maintain the material master costing for new SKU
•    Review the material master during the yearly budgeting process or during mid year CE process and roll out for proper approval
•    Maintain and review the Intercompany Pricing and route for approval before sharing to Intercompany / Export markets.
•    Involve in the stock count, review count variance, and ensure matching of count variance against system posting
•    Review on inventory aging and health periodically to ensure no bad stocks 

3PL Warehousing & Logistic Management
•    To monitor logistic cost accrual vs actual to ensure they remain within budget and deliver expected value. This includes tracking cost by activity base likes inbound, outbound, handling, warehouse rental etc
•    Collaborates with Logistic team to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as reducing transportation costs through route optimization or improving warehouse efficiency through better layout design.
    
Internal Control
•    Ensure that internal control is in place for each business process
•    Implement internal control improvement that is recommended by Internal and/or External Auditor

Others
•    Creating the asset requisition number (INPEC) based on budgeted CAPEX when manufacturing require for a new asset investment
•    Handle the internal & external auditor request
•    Cost simulation for product or scenario requested by stakeholders such as Supply Chain & Commercial teams
•    Provide the cost simulation for the New Product Development (NPD)
•    Any other assigned project as required

Skills and Experience

General Skills/Attributes –

Must Have:-
Technical/Work-based Skills
•    Good knowledge of FMCG, esp. beverage industry
•    Good understanding of financial statement analysis and reporting
•    Understanding Business Process
•    Having a good Microsoft office skills 

Good to have: 
•    Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) 
•    Strong Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) skills
•    FMCG background, preferable in OEM or Factory Manufacturing background.
•    Understanding of financial statement analysis
•    Good understanding of supply chain process

Experience
•    Business analysis or relevant role, At least 4 years of working experience in FMCG industry
 

Education

Bachelors in Finance or Accounting
Others in Business Administration
