Regulatory & Quality Assistant Manager

Job Summary

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all products meet country regulations by reviewing and engaging in regulatory compliance processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements to support product approval and market entry.

Food Safety & Quality Compliance:
Guarantee that products adhere to Product Specifications and manufacturing standards. Support the handling, manufacturing, and distribution of Suntory products, ensuring compliance with the Suntory Quality Manual, GMP, and all relevant regulations and legislative rules.

Job Responsibilities

1. Regulatory Responsibilities:

Ensure Compliance:
Work with business units to ensure products meet regulatory requirements for new products, cross-border projects, and changes.

Regulation Management:
Update and maintain regulatory databases, manage certifications, and handle regulatory updates and impact assessments.

Support Functions:
Provide regulatory documents for supply chain and commercial teams to facilitate customs clearance and product listing.

2. Quality Responsibilities:

Manage Quality Projects:
Oversee projects related to co-packer management and quality systems, including audits and CAPA management.

Quality Assurance:
Conduct inspections, manage external inspections, and handle complaints, deviations, and recalls according to standards.

Continuous Improvement:
Analyze quality issues, ensure compliance with specifications, and maintain strong relationships with co-packers and regulators.

Foster Collaboration:
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and support team goals through effective communication and collaboration.

Knowledge Sharing:
Encourage learning and exchange of ideas to enhance team performance and achieve objectives.Provide Feedback:

Skills and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or Bioscience.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of food regulations; experience with Hong Kong & Macao regulators preferred.
  • Quality Management: Experience in managing quality for 3rd parties (co-manufacturing) and implementing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Language Skills: Proficient in Chinese, Cantonese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia For Hong Kong BU, Chinese literacy required). This role to support Hong Kong BU, Chinese literacy required
  • Attributes: High initiative and self-motivation.
