Head of People & Culture, Cluster Asia

The purpose of the Head of People & Culture is to lead and partner with business leaders on strategic people priorities in Cluster Asia region (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Hong Kong). This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

Job Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for the following areas:


People matters in markets
•    Responsible for people related matters within Cluster Asia, with input and guidance from global/regional CoE's and Services leads
•    Holds accountability for safety, wellbeing and conditions, external spokesperson and legally responsible for HR matters in the legal entity 
•    Advise on the design and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and programs, ensuring added business value 
•    Partner and bring in resources from the CoE to design and implement HR solutions 
•    Member of the market or BU local executive team
•    As required, be the People Function ambassador for Suntory externally
•    Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in the market and P&C team on good employee relation and productivity

 

Advice to business leaders
•    Preferred HR Point of Contact (POC) and partner for business leaders within Cluster Asia region
•    Advise on the design and implementation of strategic HR initiatives and programs, ensuring added business value
•    Coach and develop business leaders on people related topics

 


Organisation development
•    Align employee and organisational development needs
•    Actively consult and provide organization development solutions to improve overall productivity and efficiency, using people analytics and data

 

Team Leadership
•    Support, manage and guide P&C Business Partners in their activities
 

Skills and Experience

The successful incumbent shall possess the following

  • Extensive knowledge on HR strategy and processes
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills and strong in maintaining relations
  • Business savviness and understanding trends and developments in the area of focus
  • Ability to drive and steer on business outcomes
  • Analytical toolset in order to oversee, connect and solve any organizational challenges
  • Understanding in any related external labour regulation and policies
