About your role

As a Demand Planning Executive, you will support the Demand Planning function by preparing accurate sales forecasts, analysing demand trends, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to support product availability and inventory health.
This role contributes to effective Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) by providing data‑driven insights that enable aligned and informed decision‑making in an FMCG environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle by consolidating demand inputs, preparing analysis, and supporting cross‑functional alignment discussions.
  • Prepare and maintain rolling demand forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual) by SKU, channel, and customer using historical data and agreed commercial inputs.
  • Analyse demand patterns, seasonality, and trends to identify forecast gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing / Trade Marketing teams to align demand plans with promotions, new product launches, and market activities.Track forecast accuracy and bias, and prepare regular performance reports comparing forecast vs actual sales.
  • Work with Supply Chain, Supply Planning, Operations, and Customer Service teams to translate demand plans into feasible supply plans.
  • Support Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) processes by monitoring short‑term demand changes, supply constraints, and execution risks.
  • Support demand estimation and post‑launch monitoring for new product introductions and promotions.
  • Maintain accurate data in planning tools and ensure forecasts are updated in line with planning cycles.
  • Prepare reports and analysis for management reviews and ad‑hoc business requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancement and planning efficiency projects.

What You need to be successful

 

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant experience in demand planning, sales operations, finance operations, or a related analytical role; experience in FMCG is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and manage information from different sources.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing forecasts and reports.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities and timelines in a planning environment.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling business information.
