Assistant Logistics Manager
Job Summary
The Assistant Logistics Manager will oversee warehouse operations and inventory management, ensuring all KPIs are met. This role involves recommending procedural improvements, initiating, and leading projects to enhance productivity and efficiency within the supply chain and logistics functions.
Job Responsibilities
Warehouse Support:
• Direct day-to-day 3PL warehouse activities: receipt, putaway, retrieval, pallet makeup, truck loading/unloading, inventory control, pallet management.
• Manage inbound/outbound shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Record and analyze inventory discrepancies in SAP.
• Manage warehouse shrinkage metrics to minimize losses.
• Oversee inventory physical and cycle counting.
• Provide leadership, training, and coaching to key personnel.
Logistics Support:
• Manage co-packer production schedules.
• Oversee inventory flow in third-party/co-packer warehouses.
• Ensure operational procedures are followed.
• Track co-packer production performance.
• Address co-packer production issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Implement process improvements with co-packers/3PL.
• Manage logistics for transporting products to/from co-packing facilities.
• Monitor inventory levels for co-packer needs.
• Control co-packing/3PL costs.
• Maintain inventory control systems.
• Ensure timely raising of co-packer POs.
• Reconcile conversion SKUs weekly.
• Ensure safety standards compliance.
• Develop audit programs with QA, Safety, and Logistics.
• Produce regular co-packer KPI reports.
• Ensure weekly cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare for quarterly and year-end stock counts.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills and Experience
• Education: University degree in Business Administration with a focus on Supply Chain/Logistics, relevant study.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
• Skills:
o Extensive knowledge and use of Information Systems (SAP and WMS).
o Ability to manage 3PL operations, including inventory, warehouse, and distribution.
o Strong understanding of supplier fulfilment capabilities and customer requirements.
o Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems-based solutions.
o Experience in managing warehouse shrinkage metrics and inventory discrepancies.
Plus point:
• Industry: More than 5 years of experience, ideally in a similar role AND from MNC FMCG/ Food Manufacturing/ Food Service.
• Skills:
o Experience with process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
o Knowledge of co-packer production schedules and performance tracking.
o Ability to develop audit programs with QA, Safety, and Logistics.
o Experience in cost control and seeking opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
