Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Executive plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the accounts receivable function, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of accounts, the AR Executive ensures the smooth flow of revenue and cash inflows into the organization. They work closely with internal stakeholders such as sales, finance, and operations teams to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies, maintain accurate customer records, and optimize cash flow processes.

Job Responsibilities

•    Clearing payment AR (E-comm, PD, Non PD, Direct business) / perform payment posting and clearing on daily basis.
•    Ensure SOA is sent by 1st week of the following month.
•    Ensure the collection are up to date.
•    Ensure update pricing with no error & must have approved COA.
•    Prepare monthly summary of CN and invoices.
•    Reconciliation for all the trade spends customer- Monthly/ Up to date
•    Update with remarks & action  Balance sheet review – AR ageing
•    Assists internal & external audit/ Liaise with internal and external auditors. 
•    Ad hoc task assigned by superior from time to time.

Skills and Experience

  • Educational Background: Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in AR roles, preferably within the FMCG sector/ retail/ trading. At least 2 years experience and knowledge of SAP is added advantage.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting Excel

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    1. Strong AR Expertise:
    Demonstrated experience in managing AR processes, including invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and reporting.
    Familiarity with AR best practices and compliance requirements.
    Proven track record of improving cash flow.

    2. Analytical Skills:

    Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
    Experience in preparing AR aging reports and developing action plans for overdue accounts.
    Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.

    3. Attention to Detail:
    High level of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
    Thoroughness in following up on outstanding invoices and resolving discrepancies.
    Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.

    Previous experience in the FMCG sector, understanding the unique challenges and dynamics of fast-moving consumer goods.
    Familiarity with dealing with large volumes of transactions and managing relationships with major retailers.
