You are passionate about R&D sensory sciences, and have a significant experience developing it, notably in food and beverage sector. You are used to work in multicultural environment and so on to work in English.
You have the ability to coordinate a small team and external partners.
Prioritization is part of your day to day, and you use to work according to a R&D strategical sensory portfolio to ensure your company objectives.

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Sensory Manager, your main mission will be to give support to R&D teams from sensory science perspective in order to guarantee the business delivers great tasting and great looking beverages for our consumers, in line with market trends, action standards and sales targets.
We will count on you to keep building and raising the sensory science capabilities across Suntory Beverage & Food Europe.
Within this role, you will manage different topics :
SENSORY LEADERSHIP
You will plan and coordinate the sensory laboratory activities, manage the shelf life, stability, and ageing sensory testing processes, and develop methods for sensory and consumer science testing. This includes conducting difference tests to identify perceptible changes between products, profiling sensory attributes, and managing internal consumer tests with comprehensive reporting.
You will ensure that sensory testing reports are distributed to key stakeholders, including the NPD team, marketing, quality assurance, and senior management. Additionally, you will guide the NPD team in the development of new liquid products from a sensory perspective, ensuring they meet desired standards and consumer expectations.
In order to develop and enhance a deep understanding and analysis of the local consumers, we will count on your proactivity to join some Gemba activities such as visit to the markets, consumers observations, competitors’ analysis, and product scouting.
As part of SWBI, Suntory Way Brand Innovation, you will develop concept with Marketing and other brand core team members. You will effectively support external qualitative and quantitative consumer tests to validate team hypotheses. Additionally, you will analyze consumer research data, assist the CBI team in interpreting post-launch consumer feedback, and continuously diagnose the brand's condition from a sensory perspective.
You will create and lead internal Sensory Panel.
SENSORY KNOW-HOW
You will be the connection between our expert external panel and the local business.
We will count on you to anticipate commercial requirements and plan proactive sensory research in line with the strategic requirements of the business.
You will have to scope and promote the development of new methods that will improve the precision and speed of the sensory science team.
You will lead the operational sensory training programs within SBFE (i.e. factories), maintaining and enhancing the sensory expertise of the SBFE teams.
You will represent the SBFE sensory team as a knowledge leader in the area of sensory science, both within Suntory and in the wider scientific community.

YOUR PROFILE
- Engineer or Master Degree from a University with a specialization in Sensory, Food or Behavioural Sciences
- Solid experience working within food and/or beverages companies
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate external partners and work remotely with stakeholders
- Delivery orientation and communication skills
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
- Fluency in French and English, Spanish is a plus.
