Glass & Bag-in-Box Buyer H/F

You have a strong interest in Procurement and have already built an initial experience in Purchasing and/or Supply Chain, ideally within a packaging, industrial or FMCG environment.

 

You are comfortable managing supplier relationships and working in sourcing activities, negotiations and tender processes. Your background has enabled you to develop a strong understanding of procurement fundamentals as well as the ability to balance business needs, supplier performance and operational priorities.

 

You possess strong communication and negotiation skills and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders across functions, sites and cultures. You are recognised for your analytical mindset, organisation, accountability and proactive approach.

 

You are able to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders and feel comfortable acting as an interface between multiple teams and business priorities.

 

You are curious, adaptable and eager to learn. You thrive in dynamic environments where agility, collaboration and continuous improvement are key to success.

 

You are fluent in English, and French and/or Spanish would be an advantage.

 

THE ROLE

 

As a Glass & Bag-in-Box Buyer within Suntory Beverage & Food Europe Procurement, reporting to the Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating Glass and Bag-in-Box categories while ensuring alignment with business, procurement and sustainability objectives.

 

You will manage procurement activities across a strategic and highly visible portfolio, balancing quality, service, sustainability, timing and cost considerations. You will contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategies in close collaboration with the Category Manager and key stakeholders.

 

You will lead and support tender processes, manage supplier relationships and performance, and contribute to supplier selection, negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

You will play a key role in connecting suppliers with internal stakeholders, working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, R&D, Finance, Legal and Marketing teams across multiple business units.

 

You will contribute to sustainability initiatives and strategic projects aimed at reducing environmental impact, while also supporting innovation activities and the development of future procurement opportunities.

 

You will monitor supplier performance, support risk management activities, contribute to business continuity planning and help ensure procurement activities are delivered in line with company policies, objectives and expected service levels.

 

The role offers a high level of exposure across the organisation, significant interaction with suppliers and manufacturing sites, and the opportunity to work within an international environment, particularly across Spain, France and co-packer operations.

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • Academic background in Engineering, Business School or University, with a specialization in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or any other relevant field
  • First experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
  • Experience working with suppliers, sourcing activities or tender processes 
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, cultures and geographies
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and proactivity
  • Fluent in English; French and/or Spanish would be a plus.

 

Fixed-term contract available as soon as possible, based at our headquarters in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
