We're looking for a Technical Officer to join our Quality team at our Wiri manufacturing site in Auckland.
This newly created role is critical to strengthening our technical capability and ensuring we continue to meet the highest quality, food safety and customer standards. You'll provide hands-on technical expertise across analytical testing, method development, validation, quality investigations, calibration oversight and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with our Quality, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams, you'll help drive quality excellence through robust data analysis, problem solving and compliance activities, while supporting the implementation of new technologies and analytical methods. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining laboratory science, technical problem solving and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

You are naturally curious, analytical and solution-focused, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy using data and technical expertise to solve complex challenges.
To help you succeed, you'll bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline
- Experience in a Quality, Technical or Laboratory role within FMCG, food, beverage, dairy or a similar manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO17025, FSSC22000, GMP and HACCP
- Experience with analytical testing, method development and validation (HPLC experience highly regarded)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using reporting or data analytics tools such as Power BI
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions
- A strong focus on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement
Highly regarded but not essential:
- Experience with customer quality standards, audits and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of sanitation programs, CIP systems or predictive maintenance diagnostics
- Continuous improvement or project management experience
- Experience training and developing others
