We're looking for an experienced Site Packaging & Beverage Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at our Wiri site in Auckland.

 

Reporting to the NZ Operations & Fulfilment Director, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across Packaging and Beverage Operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable production of some of New Zealand's most loved beverages.

 

This is a critical leadership role where you'll drive operational excellence through the Monozukuri Way, building high-performing teams, embedding continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional results across safety, quality, cost, delivery and environmental performance.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Packaging and Beverage teams to achieve manufacturing performance targets and business objectives
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, efficiency and operational excellence
  • Developing leadership capability and building increasingly self-sufficient manufacturing teams
  • Championing the Suntory Monozukuri Way and continuous improvement culture
  • Supporting site modernisation and capital investment programmes
  • Leading change initiatives and embedding best-practice manufacturing systems
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, GMP, HACCP, regulatory and environmental requirements
  • Driving employee engagement and fostering a culture of accountability, learning and performance

About you | Nō hea koe

You are an experienced manufacturing leader with a passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering outstanding operational results.

 

You'll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Science or equivalent industry experience
  • Extensive experience in FMCG beverage manufacturing or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership experience managing large operational teams
  • Proven success leading continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Experience applying Six Sigma methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent analytical, communication and influencing capabilities
  • A track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams
  • A safety-first mindset with a commitment to quality and operational excellence

 

Experience within beverage manufacturing, process automation, SCADA/DCS systems, capital project delivery or Six Sigma Black Belt certification will be highly regarded.
