Senior Siemens Automation Specialist

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Siemens Automation Specialist to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting automation and controls issues to ensure our plant is running efficiently so we can provide quality beverages for our consumers.

As the Siemens specialist you will also support the upskilling of other engineers in Siemens.

We are currently in an exciting period of growth and will be investing in significant upgrades at our Wiri site.

What you'll be doing

• Trouble-shoot automation & controls issues affecting manufacturing performance or supply
• Ensure minimum disruption and down time to plant machinery by troubleshooting and fault fixing issues
• Document change management processes
• Monitor and back up HMI’s, PLC’s and other configurable systems
• Assist in developing standards that can be used to ensure industry best practice
• Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure changes are correctly communicated

What's in your toolkit?

• A Bachelors Degree such as Mechatronics, Computer Science or relevant work experience in a automation  and controls  engineering
• Must be advanced in Siemens automation - ideally you will have around 5 years experience troubleshooting and fixing Siemens issues
• Hands on experience with Krones machinery
• Understanding of or experience with the principles of Machine Safety, Process Safety, and root cause analysis
• Experience documenting change management processes
• Ability to make recommendations to continuously improve policies, methods, or procedures
• A clear communicator that can connect with the team and key stakeholders to work through problems together

Due to the nature of our business there will be some flexibility required to work after hours.
