Working Hours

When you initially join our team, you will be with a buddy and working rotational AM and PM shifts. Once you have been fully trained, we will then introduce an overnight shift to the rotation, We are looking for talent that have the availability to work the below shift times. 

  • AM - 5am to 1.30pm
  • PM - 1pm to 9.30pm
  • Overnight - 9pm to 5.30am

Please note this role is also a 12 month fixed term contract.

What you'll be doing

  • Sampling and testing of in process and final product using methods as per Laboratory Manual
  • Ensuring all laboratory & line equipment is calibrated, in repair and consumables are replenished
  • Participating in batch release and other sensory requirements
  • Identifying any out of specification (OOS) results in relation to appropriate QCP’s, CCP’s and final product specifications; raise alert & and carry out actions as indicated

What's in your toolkit?

  • Has a tertiary degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or similar or comparable experience
  • Previous experience in a lab ideally within an FMCG quality environment
  • Understanding and experience in control of HACCP and ISO9001 Quality systems and auditing in the food industry is preferred
  • Highly proactive, pragmatic and solution focused
  • A continuous improvement mindset – we like to push the status quo
