We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Wiri Engineering team based in Manukau.

 

The Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in ensuring production requirements and KPIs are met by maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of our assets. This role involves responding promptly and professionally to engineering issues, improving product quality, and reducing production costs through effective engineering management. As a collaborative team member, you’ll contribute to problem‑solving and operational improvements that support business growth and excellence.

You enjoy leading, problem‑solving, and navigating ambiguity, and you tackle challenges with a positive and proactive mindset. You thrive in a close‑knit team within a global organisation, where you can work autonomously while building strong cross-functional relationships across Automation, Manufacturing, and Logistics.

 

You naturally gravitate toward continuous improvement, enhancing operations and systems, and you bring several years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience. You’re passionate about ensuring assets are properly tracked and maintained while delivering results in a fast‑paced environment.

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Strong electrical or mechanical engineering maintenance experience
  • Experience using digital technologies, including work order management systems and CMMS
  • Proven ability to generate value through continuous improvement and robust compliance documentation
  • Experience within FMCG or broader manufacturing environments
