Engineering Assistant Manager - Auto Warehouse
Job Summary
Lead SLA team and 3PL to implement and sustain efficient operations of the automated warehouse by overseeing and providing technical direction & performing in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance.
Job Responsibilities
Overall:
- Lead and ensure quality of automation corrective maintenance (CM) and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks for auto-warehouse.
- Develop and manage SOP/WI/OPL for operations of auto Warehouse
- Perform gemba in daily operation, Supervise all aspects of maintenance activities on for automation systems and equipment, make CAPA and closing gaps with related departments
- Ensure the overall available equipment rate as set KPI
- Supervise and manage contractors (SLA, 3PL,...) works for auto warehouse
- Instruct and manage software, hardware tools, password, backup storage for auto-warehouse
- Lead the system management development for auto-warehouse included: Program, Parameters
- Drive the AOP for auto-warehouse, develop and manage operating budget of automation function based on approved AOP
- Collaborate with other functions to drive the company targets in overall, follow PDR
- Maintain the compliance with internal labor law, EHS, quality requirement & policy
- Lead the ad-hoc requests and support for Line manager to deliver the common goals
- Other tasks assign by line manager.
Specific technical accountabilities for Auto Warehouse:
- Lead as the key technical reference for all issues related to the automatic warehouse system in a shifts-based working scheme.
- Collaborate with and drive technical teams (SLA, 3PL,..) in all troubleshooting activities finalized to keep or restore the best performance of the equipment either on-demand from the operators or on a pro-active basis.
- Oversee routine and non-routine maintenance services performed by technician teams (SLA, 3PL,..) such as ordinary and extra-ordinary maintenance services, CILT, predictive maintenance to meet the targets.
- Manage Call-Out resources on demand.
- Lead failure investigations and perform maintenance following established procedures and schedules.
- Conduct test results and record analysis, and report in written form (performance reports, issue lists in common MS Office formats – Word, Excel), report performance and equipment health status in periodical meetings.
- Perform maintenance tasks including repairing, installing, replacing, calibrating, rewiring electrical and electronic parts, mechanic, hydraulic and pneumatic and hardware systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
- Have capable to align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools and electrical tools.
- Manage and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly or repair, identify parts with proper coding (SAP codes) so to facilitate spare parts management.
- Be responsible for the spare parts stock stored on-site, provide for periodical inventory, monitor and record all withdrawals and provide for re-ordering
- Test efficiency and performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as electronic multi-meters.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments (caliper, dial gauge)
- Understand PLC programming basics.
- Be capable in operating metalworking machines to adjust, repair or rework mechanical parts.
- Can operate equipment-specific software applications and having understanding of the software framework and isolate software issues at PC and PLC level (the EE is not a SW specialist, he can support diagnosis on SW issues)

Skills and Experience
- University degree, Electrical and Automation Engineering,... and other related fields
- At least 5 years of experience in Automation, Engineering, Maintenance in manufacturing environment (preferable in FMCG industry)
- Process automation knowledge
- Good communication
- Strong team management skill
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Project management skills
- Good command of English
- Competent with MS Office
- Pro-active, hard working, willing to learn with team spirit and can-do attitude
- Ability to work in shift
