The Opportunity
As the Line Lead you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of our KPIs through the Operational Excellence Accelerator deployments across Manufacturing and other Operational Excellence work programs to realise a new way of working, as well as achieving delivery of Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environmental, Morale and Sustainability.
What you will be responsible for:
- Interacting to the required standard with our 3rd party Consultants, who are providing guidance for the deployments
- Leading and setting direction during Line Daily Direction Setting (DDS) work process to deliver target results.
- Owning and delivering against 3 Daily Management Systems (DMS) for targeted lines and areas
- Supporting the Development of the Line Master / 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability.
- As a result of the OE Accelerator role, driving improved results in OEE, Planned and Unplanned Downtime while delivering against the Master Production Schedule; Loss Elimination target achievement
- Reviewing non-value-added work and coaching the use of standard work to eliminate non-value-added work
- Driving a Zero Harm safety mindset.
- Championing the “All for the Quality” mindset, ensure we meet and exceed all Quality requirements of our processes (eg FTR, Food Safety)
- Coaching Specialists in the Gemba against all 8 Daily Management Systems
- As this is a permanent role, the responsibility transitions from being guided initially by our 3rd party consultants to owning and leading delivery and improvement of KPIs against best practice
Experience that you will bring:
As well as being outcome focused with a positive, can-do attitude you will ideally demonstrate the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG beverage manufacturing or relevant highly regulated industry in a Manufacturing leadership role.
- Excellent knowledge of Process Technology, with ability to work on a variety of critical plant and processing systems.
- Demonstrated experience in loss elimination and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
- Strong Lean manufacturing industry experience utilizing Six Sigma concepts and tools.
- Experience in training and mentoring team members.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and methodical approaches to solving complex problems.
