The Opportunity
As the Automation & Controls Leader you will develop and execute the strategic direction for Automation and Controls in line with current industry best practice. You will successfully lead a team of automation and control engineers to ensure the manufacturing operation is optomised.
What you’ll be doing
- Utilise best practice hardware and software for all automation engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and implement innovative solutions for smooth integration, efficient project delivery with aligned objectives.
- Provide insight to the manufacturing processes, continuously striving for the improvement of quality, safety or enhancing efficiency and performance.
- Manage multiple responsibilities including project execution, functional support and personal development with a focus on growing in the role.
- Management of the sites PLC and SCADA System.
Experience that you will bring:
- Experience in a senior controls and automation role utilising PLC based automation & control, programmable safety systems and SCADA
- Excellent understanding of industry standard PLC’s & software
- Excellent knowledge of industry standard SCADA systems
- Management / supervision & development of electrical engineers and electricians
- Engineering Degree
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
