The Opportunity

As the Automation & Controls Leader you will develop and execute the strategic direction for Automation and Controls in line with current industry best practice. You will successfully lead a team of automation and control engineers to ensure the manufacturing operation is optomised.

What you’ll be doing

• Utilise best practice hardware and software for all automation engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and implement innovative solutions for smooth integration, efficient project delivery with aligned objectives.
• Provide insight to the manufacturing processes, continuously striving for the improvement of quality, safety or enhancing efficiency and performance.
• Manage multiple responsibilities including project execution, functional support and personal development with a focus on growing in the role.
• Management of the sites PLC and SCADA System.

Experience that you will bring:

• Experience in a senior controls and automation role utilising PLC based automation & control, programmable safety systems and SCADA
• Excellent understanding of industry standard PLC’s & software
• Excellent knowledge of industry standard SCADA  systems
• Management / supervision & development of electrical engineers and electricians
• Engineering Degree
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
