About your role
The role is responsible for developing, promoting, executing and monitoring master data and data quality best practices for the company. These data practices will support the business goals of the company by providing efficient and accurate ways to capture, validate, organize, store, publish, clean up and analyze information with attention to security, confidentiality and integrity.
Works closely with business to understand the nature of master data they need and how to support them properly. Also, this role indirectly manages a Master Data execution team to execute Master data update in all related systems.
What You'll Do
- Indirectly manage 3rd party CMC team to ensure quality of master data and data quality execution and work with business team to create and enforce policies for effective data management across the systems.
- Formulates techniques for quality master data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and integrity of data.
- Monitors and analyzes information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.).
- Troubleshoots data-related problems and authorizes updates in maintenance or modifications.
- Overall responsibility for acting as the strategic interface with business data owners for the purpose of master data strategy development and solution discovery.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert in data capture/use process discipline, innovations in technology to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business and Master Data team.
- Proactively serves as a “trusted advisor” and is a point of contact for MDM team and the business with regards to data practices and usage.
- Participates in major business changes to deliver / explain master data requirements as well as contribute to master data changes.
- Facilitates the planning, execution and sustainment of new master data practices that result from business process changes through the use standard master data and data governance processes and technology.
- Participates in the development and application of master data framework.
- Learns, test and try new technologies regarding data analysis and master data quality management in order to support Company and Departments / Functions realize the benefit of them.
What You need to be successful
- BA degree is a requirement, preferably BA of IT.
- 5 years overall working experience in business process / systems management or IT with at least 3-5 years of master data and data governance management;
- Good knowledge and experience with FMCG or F&B industry is preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft eco-system, SAP and / or other ERP system is preferred – but not mandatory
- Can perform well under pressure
- Effective communication, collaboration and presentation skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and team management experience
- Understanding of regulatory compliance implications and controls impacting business areas
- Effective analytical, problem solving skills and being able to lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex business issues
- Strategic thinking, customer focused and value driven
- Self-motivated, positive mind set and “can-do” attitude
- Good communication
