Business Insights Manager

Requisition ID:  13041

Who We Are

Suntory Group is a global leader in consumer-packaged goods, renowned for producing and distributing a uniquely diverse portfolio of beverages, premium spirits, beer, wine, and wellness products throughout the world. Founded as a family-owned business in 1899 in Osaka, Japan, Suntory has grown into a company operating throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania. We are driven by a profound purpose: To inspire the brilliance of life, by creating rich experiences for people, in harmony with nature.

At Suntory Beverage and Food, we boldly move forward together to realize the dreams of becoming a world-leading next-generation global beverage company – you are an important part of this and here’s how your role helps us win.
Here, you have the opportunity to work with talented and inspiring leaders, the freedom to dream big and think differently. We commit to creating a work environment where you can bring your true self and Unleash your Spirit.

This is a unique opportunity to shape data-led decision making across Suntory Beverage & Food Benelux. The Business Insight Manager turns market, Seikatsusha, customer and performance data into strategic insight that influences priorities and senior leadership decisions. The role will build the Benelux data ecosystem by developing the Horeca fact base, unlocking retailer data and progressively creating a governed single source of truth. As a senior individual contributor, the role connects local realities with regional and Group perspectives to drive sharper choices and timely action.

About your role

Are you passionate about turning complex data into insights that genuinely shape business decisions?
As Business Insight Manager, you’ll be at the heart of data-led decision making across Suntory Beverage & Food Benelux. You’ll bring together market, retailer, customer and performance data to create a clear picture of what is happening across the business, why it is happening and, importantly, what we should do next.
This is much more than a reporting role. You’ll become a trusted insight partner to Commercial Excellence and senior leadership, using your analytical expertise and commercial understanding to challenge thinking, tell compelling stories through data and help guide strategic choices. You’ll also play an important role in developing our data landscape, particularly by bringing together currently fragmented data sources and helping us build a stronger fact base for the Horeca market.

This role can be based out of Amsterdam (NL) or Hoeilaart (BE).

What You'll Do

•    Turn data into direction. Dive deep into market and business performance, connecting multiple data sources to identify the trends, opportunities and risks that really matter.
•    Create one clear business story. Bring together fragmented sources, including Nielsen/NIQ, retailer, customer and internal data, to create a trusted and easy-to-understand view of business performance.
•    Bring insights to life. Translate complex analysis into clear, compelling recommendations and presentations that enable senior stakeholders to make confident decisions.
•    Build our Benelux data ecosystem. Help shape our data roadmap, improve governance and reporting, unlock greater value from retailer data and develop a stronger data foundation for the Horeca market.
•    Shape strategic decision making. Support key business processes such as MBR, AOP and MTP by connecting performance with its underlying drivers and helping the business anticipate what comes next.
•    Connect data with the real business. Combine analytical expertise with your understanding of the FMCG and commercial landscape to make sure insights are relevant, actionable and grounded in market reality.
•    Partner across the organisation. Work closely with Commercial Excellence, Sales, Marketing, Finance, BI teams and external data partners while connecting Benelux perspectives with regional and Group priorities.

What's in it for you

This is an opportunity to make a real mark on how we use data and insight across our Benelux business. Rather than stepping into a fully established data environment, you’ll have the freedom to shape it, connecting sources, closing gaps and creating greater clarity from complex information.
You’ll have the space to go deep into the numbers while still seeing your work influence meaningful commercial and strategic decisions. Your insights will help senior leaders understand what is happening in the market and determine where we need to focus next.
At Suntory, you’ll join an international business where you can bring your ideas, challenge the status quo and grow your expertise while helping us build an even more insight-led organisation.

What You need to be successful

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial curiosity. You enjoy getting into the detail of the data, but you can also step back, see the bigger picture and translate your findings into a story others can understand and act on.
You’ll ideally bring:
•    Strong experience in business insights, commercial analytics, category management or market intelligence, ideally within FMCG or another data-rich commercial environment.
•    Excellent analytical skills and the ability to consolidate and interpret complex information from multiple sources.
•    Experience working with Nielsen/NIQ, syndicated market data, retailer/customer data or similar sources.
•    Strong BI and data-visualisation capability, ideally including tools such as Power BI, with experience in automation or AI-enabled analytics being an advantage.
•    Good commercial and market understanding. Experience from an FMCG category role could be a particularly relevant background.
•    The ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations, storytelling and engaging presentations for senior stakeholders.
•    Confidence to challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
•    Strong written and spoken English.
•    Above all, a curious and holistic mindset: someone who wants to understand not just what the numbers say, but why they matter and what we should do about them.
