Role:
This is a Strategic Finance Leader role, partnering with Sales and Marketing functions to translate Business strategies into Category and Channel focused agenda.
This role encompasses a wide range of strategic topics including Portfolio Transformation Initiatives and Channel strategy, Trade Spend and Mix Management, Investment model, return on investment, performance management and decision support to enable Category and Channel growth in long term and optimize balance of Revenue, Volume, Share and Brand Equity and Profitability.
Reporting to VP Planning, Senior Finance Director - Commercial Planning, will play a pivotal role in Finance leadership team, responsible for developing and executing both business and people agenda of Finance function.
Job Responsibilities
1 Build Business Roadmap and Financial Strategy, Planning and Forecasting:
* Play an integral role in the MTP process, translating strategy into AOP milestones using sophisticated multi-lever strategies (Volume, Revenue, Pack Price, Trade Spend, Portfolio Transformation). Validate growth based on Internal and external sources
* Partner with Commercial to develop targets by Category, Region, Channel.
* Governance, monitor to ensure Company strategies are translated and executed well in the market.
* Develop and support trade-offs discussion across the business to ensure optimal balance top and bottom line targets.
* Lead market diagnostics, analytics, and apply best practices learnings to actively manage the balance of Revenue – Volume – Share – Brand Equity.
* Oversee performance review, providing analysis and translating insights into actionable plans & strategies.
* Lead process improvements in collaboration with other business functions (IBP and Commercial processes)
* Represent Commercial Finance in partnerships with Commercial, Operations, SC, Finance, and P&C.
2. Portfolio Management
* Lead brand performance management, cooperating with Consumer Insight, Category heads/ComEx and RGM to review and propose action plans.
* Develop finance busness cases for portfolio transformation/ pack price initiatives in coordination with CAT heads/ Commex and RGM, ensuring alignmen with company strategies and balance short-term and long-term gains.
* Provide consultancy to Marketing leadership team on portfolio Management, having appropritate intervention actions for sustainable and profitable growth.
* Provide guidance and be accountable for evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns and controlling A&P budget.
* Identify and drive the development and implementation of gross margin improvement across categories
3. Channel Management
* Finance lead for operating and investment models by location/channel/customer.
* Steer Trade Spend Optimization through ROI analysis, driving effectiveness & efficiency, and leading the continuous improvement in trade investments.
* Provide financial analysis and actionable insights on location, channel, customer performance.
* Support Sales, ComEx and RGM in Mix management strategy, leveraging a thorough understanding of Net Revenue Realization, marginal contribution by SKU, brand, channel, customer.
4. Build and Transfer Operating Capabilities.
* Continuously train SPVB System marketing and sales managers in Commercial finance evaluation and processes.
* Leverage Regional intelligece capability to support local customization and implementation of systems & processes.
* Support and build capability within the revenue governance team, prioritizing based on capability assessment.
Requirements
Education: University graduate, Master in - Finance, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or CFA preferred.
Functional expertise:
- More than 8 years- experience in Financial role with 4+ years in Finance Director positions
- In-depth understanding of Sales and Marketing and total key business drivers.
- Experience in FMCG and F&B industry is a plus
