About your role

Marketing Director of Media and Marketing Operations is responsible for driving excellence across media planning and execution, marketing activities execution, and operational efficiency. This role ensures that marketing investments deliver maximum ROI, campaigns are flawlessly executed, and cross-functional teams are aligned to deliver impactful brand experiences across all touchpoints.

What You'll Do

Media Strategy & Planning

  • Lead development of integrated media strategies across digital, traditional, and emerging platforms
  • Partner with brand teams to embed consumer insight and journey mapping into media planning and execution.
  • Oversee media agency relationships, ensuring alignment with brand goals and performance KPIs
  • Optimize media mix and budget allocation based on consumer insights, channel performance, and market dynamics
  • Monitor media effectiveness and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis
  • Lead media & platform agency relationships & management, ensuring cost efficiency, creative innovation, and accountability.

Marketing Operations

  • Co-own end-to-end marketing workflow, including campaign planning, calendar management, and execution processes with brand teams.
  • Implement right operational process, systems and governance to improve speed, transparency, and collaboration across teams
  • Drive operational excellence through process innovation and automation where possible.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and regulatory requirements in all campaigns.
  • Drive operational efficiency by streamlining processes and improving speed to market.

Performance & Analytics

  • Establish measurement framework, dashboards to track campaign performance, media ROI, and operational KPIs to evaluate campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with insights and analytics teams to translate data into actionable strategies e.g. using analytics tools (e.g., Nielsen, brand health trackers, and MMM MMM) to guide investment decisions.
  • Work with brand team to conclude post-campaign reviews and ensure learnings are embedded into future planning

 

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor (direct and indirect) diverse teams across media, operations, and project management
  • Partner with brand , sales, e-commerce, and finance teams to ensure seamless media and marketing execution and alignment
  • Serve as a key liaison between global/regional category teams and local market execution
  • Create a culture of learning through test-and-learn initiatives and consumer labs

 

Innovation & Future-Proofing

  • Keep the company ahead of media and marketing innovation (AI, social commerce, gamification, AR/VR, creator economy).
  • Embed sustainability and ESG considerations into media choices and activations.
  • Continuously evolve processes, tools, and partnerships to increase agility and competitiveness.

What's in it for you

What You need to be successful

  • Bachelor or Master in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in media, marketing operations, or integrated marketing, preferably within FMCG/consumer industries.
  • Proven leadership in managing large media budget, managing multiple portfolios of brand and complex marketing operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in media performance and marketing ROI
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights, analytics, and performance measurement.
  • Experience in agency management, negotiation, and vendor governance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams, driving cross-functional alignment, and managing change.
