About your role

This role is responsible for supporting the development of new products from concept through commercialization. This role involves formulation and process development, technical risk assessment, prototype creation, and scale-up activities while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and cost targets. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, support innovation initiatives, facilitate technology transfer to production, and contribute to effective laboratory management and continuous improvement activities.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate with Marketing, cross-functional teams and manager to kick off projects, establish timelines, and track project milestones.
• Work on formula development and optimization based on product concepts, consumer insights, regulatory requirements, manager’s direction and cost targets.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, develop prototypes, and ensure formulations comply with market regulations and quality standards.
• Perform technical risk assessments, stability studies, and microbiological evaluations, proposing solutions to address development challenges.
• Prepare and support R&D review and approval processes, including DR submissions and technical documentation.
• Develop and maintain Product Information (PI) documentation, including product claims, registration requirements, and production parameters are accurately captured and compliant with local regulations by coordinating with MKT and Regulatory team.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Procurement, and cross-functional stakeholders on ingredient development, quality improvement, and sustainability initiatives.
• Support commercialization, scale-up activities, and change management to ensure successful product launches.
• Drive innovation through rapid prototyping, consumer observation (Gemba), and disruptive product idea generation.
• Contribute to laboratory management by maintaining safety standards, SOP compliance, and 5S practices.

What You need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in product development, formulation, or R&D within FMCG or a related industry
• Strong sensory evaluation capability with keen attention to taste, quality, and product attributes
• Solid knowledge of food technology; understanding of beverage processing is an advantage
• Familiarity with Vietnam food & beverage regulations and food safety requirements
• Strong analytical and logical thinking, with good presentation and time management skills
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work with integrity and diligence
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Flexible and willing to travel as required
