Corporate Affairs Manager - Public Policy and Government Affairs

About your role

Build and protect SPVB corporate positive image and improve our corporate brand value year on year with the Government and Public stakeholders through external engagement with central and local governments following COCs and SPVB values guidelines. Single window for all GR by leveraging inputs from functions. Lead the advocacy campaigns for both SPVB or industry issues to support business interests and avoid negative impacts on SPVB business.

What You'll Do

1. Enabler of Corporate Resilience and Competitiveness
- Monitor legislative, political, and macroeconomic developments that may impact SPVB’s operations.
- Anticipates regulatory and geopolitical risks and delivers timely insights to leadership/ internal teams to support readiness for regulatory changes
- Provides scenario planning and insights, strengthens business continuity through proactive risk management. 

2. Strengthen stakeholder trust and engagement
- Develop and position SPVB as a policy partner with Government.
- Maintain long-term credibility with policymakers and partnerships
- Lead and execute the engagement agenda with Government, regulators, local authorities, industry bodies to anticipate risks and shape a balanced operating environment
- Build multi-stakeholder coalitions with NGOs, commerce chambers, industry associations, partner and advocacy groups to amplify impacts.
- Oversee the preparation of membership contracts, agreements, and engagement events.

3. Policy Advocacy & License to operate:
- Proactively influence policy and regulatory landscapes to create a favorable business environment and aligned with SPVB’s growth, sustainability, and innovation goals. 
- Monitor and analyze macro landscape, policy developments, industry trends, and proactively advise senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and recommended positions
- Drive cross functional alignment on advocacy priorities and company stances
- Secure licenses, approvals, and regulatory conditions essential for market operations and expansion
- Develop high quality advocacy materials to influence policy/ license to operate

4. Amplify leadership voice and corporate purposes
- Position Executives as credible voice on sustainability, innovation, and people-oriented initiatives.
- Drive thought leadership platforms that reinforce the company's role as an industry influencer
- Strengthen SPVB’s corporate reputation through government and industry awards.
- Lead and coordinate engagement events, VIP visit to SPVB

5. Crisis & Issues Management
- Develop and execute of crisis management protocols related to Government Affairs, regulatory challenges, and company reputation.
- Anticipate and manage reputation risks, ensuring readiness for crises and sensitive issues.
- Act as a key liaison with X-teams to ensure timely, accurate, and aligned messaging, stakeholders and actions
- Maintain links to external stakeholders/ authorities to manage collective responses.

6. Planning and Executing budget
- Manage PPGA planning process (AOP, strategic plan) and the flawless delivery of the same.
- Budget management: control and monitor to ensure effective use of PPGA annual budget
- Risk and efficiency management to improve PPGA
- Be responsible to build capacity of PPGA organization to deliver PPGA and whole CA agenda

7. Other assignments: other appropriate assignment(s) that relate to the job profile SPVB’s strategy from time to time from line manager

What You need to be successful

Education: Bachelor degree, additional certificates are preferable

Functional expertise (experiences, functional skills):

  • At least 5 year of related experiences
  • At least 2 years in managerial position

•    Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate industry trends, policy development strategies, emerging risks/ opportunities and align advocacy efforts with business goals.
•    Stakeholder Management: Expertise in building and managing relationships with government agencies, business associations, NGOs, and other external partners. Strong coalition-building capabilities
•    Policy Expertise: Thorough knowledge of policymaking process, regulatory frameworks and experience in policy advocacy. Demonstrated ability to deliver advocacy campaigns with measurable results.
•    Analytical skill: ability to study law/ regulation documents and develop assessment/ analysis
•    Communication Skills: Strong ability to prepare persuasive materials (position papers, talking points, presentations) and represent SPVB effectively in public forums.
•    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work across departments to achieve unified objectives.
